Aurous Derivatives of Nitrogen
Aurous oxide and ammonia combine to form an explosive product, Au3N,NH3,4H2O. When boiled with water, half of the nitrogen is eliminated, with formation of another nitride, Au3N,5H2O. A highly explosive aurous hydrazoate has also been prepared.
