Aurous Derivatives of Nitrogen

Aurous oxide and ammonia combine to form an explosive product, Au₃N,NH₃,4H₂O. When boiled with water, half of the nitrogen is eliminated, with formation of another nitride, Au₃N,5H₂O. A highly explosive aurous hydrazoate has also been prepared.
